Hyper Ground Wires

Just installed a set on my car and the difference is like night & day. Before my car used to be really herky jerky in between shifts. I attributed it to the lightweight flywheel I was using -- I thought it was letting RPM's fall off too much between shifts when I'm just peddling around town. However, after installing these wires, the entire "driving experience" is a LOT smoother. Feels like a stock Civic DX, no joke.

Hmm now that I think about it, that review wasn't very flattering. "Install Hyper Ground wires and your car will feel like a stock Civic DX!" lol Seriously though, if you knew how my car drove before, you'd understand

HyperGround System from Sun. Yeah it's pretty easy to install. Took me about 15 mins, but only because my engine was still hot and I burned myself a few times lol. Basically two wires come off your negative terminal -- 1 to the chassis, the other to the head/valve cover. Then two wires from the head/valve cover go to the intake mani and tranny/block. Then one wire from the tranny/block back to the body. So 5 wires in all. Just gotta find convenient spots to attach them.

exactly what do these "ground wires" do?

are they just replacement wires for the factory ground wires from the battery to the chassis and to the motor and also the tranny?

I knew they produced a little power(I've seen a little over 5whp or more on every car they've used them on) and thought they might be worth it just for that, but if it actually does improve driveability somewhat, GREAT. How much did they cost Cary, I was planning on trying the same ones out

They provide better grounding than the stock factory wires. Weird thing too... my radio sounds a lot better now. Before it would sound like I was overdriving my speakers if I cranked the volume past like 12 on my MP3 player. Now it's perfectly clear at that same volume level. Power-wise, throttle response is very much improved. Most people pick up 2-5hp on the dyno from adding grounding wires alone with nothing else changed.

They were $115 from www.optionsautosalon.com.

So they'll improve the ground in a car eh? Sounds like car audio people should use this stuff too.

thanks for the reply. I've always put a better grounds on my cars in order to reduce the voltage drop to my amps for my systems. I had no idea it would help the car run better in a normal car. I'm gonna upgrade the ground wires in my hatchback and see if it makes a difference
