Has anyone ever considered having a "wrench" meet? Basically people get together to help with installs, eat, and just get to know each other. My work schedule sucks so I have never been to one, but hopefully someday soon that will change.

I'm also not a slave to any brand/model of car. I just like the opportunity to help where needed.

I love "wrench-a-thon's", it lets people accomplish allot in a very short time. schedule pending of course....

we did this alot back in the early 2000's with the DSM community. Got alot done those weekends. it was loads of fun.

My old car club would do this a lot. We called them "garage days" but same thing; everybody working on the cars, together and separate. Its nice to hang out, have a couple drinks and work on the latest projects.

I'd be down for a meet like this. Keep the thread updated

Oh, and my garage is open to anybody that wants to help

I'd be down for something like this if i didnt work a shitty schedule. Don't have many tools or experience, but im willing lend a hand and learn.

Yeah I enjoy wrenching meets too. When I pay someone to do the job (which happens quite a bit because of time constraints) I am not learning. I also could have used that same amount of cash to buy new tools. $100 for labor vs. $100 to learn something, and have a new spring compressor! (just an example
