The following linked thread contains all info concerning details of the situation.
They have 2 names used on car forums. XLRNMR2 and PhatboyMR2 Cliffs: - MR2 member (SpinFin) paypals Mark Ulysse $340 for sideskirts in Feb of 2009. - Shady / delayed responses / excuses occur for about 2-3 months. - To this day (7 months later..) Mark Ulysse has not refunded any of the funds. The reason it is on ImportAtlanta is because that is the hometown forum where they were from/ had a reputation (which is now destroyed with all the evidence provided concerning the scam he pulled). Threads linked provide screenshots of proof of PMs/comments related to the business transaction. http://www.importatlanta.com/forums/...d.php?t=233348 This following thread on MR2.com can be viewed (no registering required) to see the progression concerning the feedback thread on the scamming member: http://www.mr2.com/forums/feedback/T...tboymr2-2.html This guy basically took the money and tried to play it smooth and disappear on his last car forum parts sale. They have been banned on both MR2 forums & on their hometown forum ImportAtlanta The scammer is named Mark Ulysse, he is from Georgia, but currently resides somewhere in Miami, FL. (For school supposedly) The scammer's old MR2 had Georgia plates ( NVS MR2 ) ![]() The scammer's beater daily (which was wrecked and explained if you read through case details) Georgia plates were ( BFJ 5079 ) ![]() This is his Facebook pic currently as of 9-21-09. ![]() $100 is being offered to the person who can make Mark Ulysse refund in full the $340 which he has failed to pay back since March of 2009. Simply put, whoever can find/tell/make the scammer Mark Ulysse to refund $340, $100 of that refund will go to that person. Yes a Police report has already been filed against this person. (With no resolution) Yes, PD from their country have been contacted but get the run around to file with local texas PD first. Yes, a paypal dispute occurred, only resulting in the scammer closing their bank account to avoid mandatory refunding of money. It is difficult concerning it is an out of state matter. If anything, create a bogus facebook and plague this fool with messages to pay SpinFin back. What would you do ? |

eh... should of filed a paypal report asap before the deadline date. I usually file it just in case because afterwards you can always resolve it. Waiting for payment for 2-3 months is pretty dumb.

You're misinformed. Paypal dispute was filed a week after the payment date. Not months after. They had a full week to ship item/contact and did neither. |

if the seller closes their bank account, they don't have anywhere to take the money from =\ i hate scammers with a passion, thankfully the few times i've been scammed i've gotten my money back.

sorry then, you are out of luck on that. If he had use a credit card it would of been much easier since he will be dealing with the CC company. Its always a safer way to do that, pay with CC cause then the CC company can do something about it if paypal fails. It happen to me before.
