From what I found out, dude went w/ a 331 (5.4L), 3.4 whipple and nitrous. LOL Guy likes to pour money into this car. Reliable (and scary) 9 second daily driver. Well, reliable till the blower took a dump...LOL From what I read, dude still doesnt know why, but is going TT now. His whole deal is he's still using the factory ECU and trying to keep it that way.

wow thats insane! if you dont mind me asking, is there some type of advantage to running the stock ecu rather than an aftermarket?

Advantage? I don't think so. More of a challange i would think. Im no ECU guru though...only thing Ive ever ran was a piggy back system on my old wrx's..lol

for most of the fords(and GMs) they keep em on stock ECU until they start doing crazy stuff like running alcohol or something.

i know a few stock ECU LSx's that are making over 1100hp with just tuning and compensation for the bigger injectors.

thankfully GM built a awesome motor WITH an awesome ecu.

Updates on the setup AWD?

I've got a pretty good idea as to why he might want to keep the original ECU; He probably lives in an emissions controlled area and need the original ecu for the OBD2 functions so he can pass local tests.
