From what I found out, dude went w/ a 331 (5.4L), 3.4 whipple and nitrous. LOL Guy likes to pour money into this car. Reliable (and scary) 9 second daily driver. Well, reliable till the blower took a dump...LOL From what I read, dude still doesnt know why, but is going TT now. His whole deal is he's still using the factory ECU and trying to keep it that way.

Advantage? I don't think so. More of a challange i would think. Im no ECU guru though...only thing Ive ever ran was a piggy back system on my old wrx's..lol

for most of the fords(and GMs) they keep em on stock ECU until they start doing crazy stuff like running alcohol or something.
i know a few stock ECU LSx's that are making over 1100hp with just tuning and compensation for the bigger injectors. thankfully GM built a awesome motor WITH an awesome ecu. |

Updates on the setup AWD?
I've got a pretty good idea as to why he might want to keep the original ECU; He probably lives in an emissions controlled area and need the original ecu for the OBD2 functions so he can pass local tests. |
