Contrary to popular belief...
The latest study by J.D. power and associates shows that Lexus(as always), GM, and Ford are leading the pack in quality.

I highly doubt that. GM and Ford are invested in so much besides cars they can continue to lose the billions of dollars a year for another decade if they wanted to, and not even be worried about it. GM and Ford's quality may be approaching those of the Japanese, but it's too little too late. their reputation is already severly tarnished. people who have previously owned or had experience with them are very timid to continue their relationship. it's going to take a lot for GM and Ford to change that image. they're going to need to rework the entire marketing and design departments to shift their focus on SUV's and Light Trucks to economical and inexpensive family cars. |

As for the reworking... *cough* Ford Fusion *cough cough* I would say that is a step in the right direction. As for GM... I dont like them, so I wouldnt know what their next move would be. |

I would agree w/ the ford and lexus, but the GM? Every GM i've been in feels cheap, except for one, but it was a 94, so i'm pretty sure it wasn't tested. Even the C5 vettes felt cheap on the inside. Oh, well. I guess that's why i'm not the one running the tests...

This was a reliability test, not a "how soft the leather feels" test. Notice how Subaru is negative in the standings? Lol. |

funny thing is though, that most dealership service writers dispise the way j d power conducts their surveying. it's way more vague than the way dealerships construct their tsi surveys... toyota doesn't even recognize j d power's reports as valid.
