Hebron, IN – March 03, 2011 – PRECISION TURBO AND ENGINE’s line of entry level turbochargers has been expanded to now include the exclusive Competition Engineered Aerodynamics (CEA) compressor wheel option for the 54mm size.

This premium technology, available for the first time in smaller frame size turbos, is offered in combination with Precision’s T31 turbine wheel. The 54mm CEA compressor wheel equipped turbocharger is available with a choice of turbine housing A/R sizes (0.48 or 0.63) in T3 4-bolt, T3 5-bolt (with or without wastegate hole) or Buick 3-bolt style. The 54mm CEA turbo also features Precision’s E compressor cover which utilizes a 3” inlet and 2” discharge.

PTE’s CNC-machined aluminum Competition Engineered Aerodynamics (CEA) compressor wheels are specifically designed to deliver maximum performance. Cutting-edge technology is used to provide greater efficiency and faster transient response which results in less turbo lag than traditional cast wheels of the same size. The CEA wheels are also known for making significantly more power without sacrificing weight or cost.

When compared to standard 50 trim cast 54mm compressor wheels from other manufacturers, Precision’s 54mm CEA compressor wheel offers superior durability while being significantly lighter which helps improve spool-up time and often results in more horsepower at the same or lower boost levels than traditional wheels.

The availability of this new 54mm CEA entry level turbo will enable racers to obtain high-end performance in a smaller package that is ideal for more streetable applications such as road racing, drifting, autocross, gymkhana and more.

i seen the 54mm cea make 400 on a b16 and run 11:90 on pump gas with el gato tune

The CEA Entry Level 5431E is rated at 450hp. We haven't had the opportunity to push them to their limits, but I'm confident they'd make 500 whp pretty easily with the right supporting modifications.
