nav radio for 2k5 silverado w/ Onstar and Bose...

Looking to get a new radio for my truck since the CD player doesnt eject no mo'.

Im in the market for a Nav receiver w/ mp3 player capabilites, along w/ being xm ready. Not looking to spend an ass load...somewhere between 5-750.

Anyone have any pointers on which brand is better than the other? Prefer a decent sized screen...and dont really like the Pioneers with the knob and 3-4 inch screen.

Also, which is better for a nav receiver when loading the actual navigation? CD/DVD or having the maps stored on a memory card? Just looking to get some pointers/recommendations.

Thanks guys.

Pioneer has their newer series out and I think they start in your range... I have a BT310U that I am about to put in my escalade... Fit my bill and found it NIB for really cheap.

kenwood's double din's are pretty good. id recommend the dnx5140 for your budget. but just a heads up, if you want to keep the onstar and keep the factory bose system, special module that will run you about $100 just to retain that. if you dont care about the onstar and plan on running aftermarket speakers with an amp then you dont need the module.
