Need help cleanin out throttle body

im plannin to clean my throttle body is it somethin i can do or do i have to give my money to someone that is supposedly certified?

it's simple. just take of the throttle body being very careful not to tear the gasket, then drench the crap out of it in carb/throttle body cleaner. take off the IAC, if it's part of the throttle body or on the intake manifold, and clean it out with cleaner as well. make sure the screen is free of any debris and there aren't any tears or holes.

Yes u can use the gumout carb cleaner. its the same stuff

oh one more ? how do you take out the throttle body i see 4 screws if i take those out and the intake hose is there anything that will pop out and i will struggle like 94387594387hrs to figure where it popped out from ??

take the four screws out and disconnect the IAC. it may be a little struggle to get it off.

as far as i can remember nothing falls out. just be careful of the gasket

the reason i ask is cause my freind took out the throttle body to his 1yr newer than mine lude and he said that when he took out the thorttle body some sring popped out and i was wonderin if i did take the throttle body then i woudl have the same problem?just a question

ok i tried to day to clean it with stp throttle body and air intake cleaner except that i messed up my gasket i took out the throttle body and the stupid gasket was stuck to the throttle body so when i carefully tried to take out the throttle body sso i wouldnt mess up the gasket the dumb gasket was REALLy stuck to the TB so there was nothin i could do so i said fck it and took out the TB therefore tearin the gasket and i searched for a gasket in my hood and no luck stupid auto zone and orielly didnt have the gasket any suggestions of where to get my gasket?? im thinkin bout goin to the dealer but imm scared of the price they will give me for the gasket. is there a correct way to clean the throttle body ??
