Did you do the timing on your engine? When I first put my D16Y7 in my CRX I didnt time it and it would only go to like 5800 intsead of 7000. check your timing.:angel2:

how did you go about doing that

Get an opened end 12mm wrench and loosen the three bolts on your ignighter, then you push it towards the back of the car to advance the timing or pull it towards the front to retard it. But in your case it sounds like it needs to be advanced. do not remove the bolts completley just loosen them. You will need a timing gun, in my case I didnt have one, so I just listened to the motor until it sounded like it was idling right and then rev it up and see if it hits redline like its supposed to! then take it for a test drive! your motor should redline at 7200 RPM. dont forget to tighten the bolts back up when you are done, do this while the car is running.

Oh yeah you said the car was revving up by itself, make sure your throttle positioning sensor is plugged in and you have all your vacumm hoses plugged in properly. Or your throttle positioning sensor could be going out. It is very common for that to happen to Honda's especially if you have an intake.:angel2:

During your swap did you pull the intake manifold off that motor? if so did you replace the intake manifold gasket, if you pulled it off and did not replace the gasket I am quite sure that you are having a major vacumm leak. The same goes for removing the throttle body
