does anyone know how tight the oil pan gasket has to be on a 98 integra?man, i changed mine out because it was accumilating oil around the bolts of the oil pan, and then run on my header.

so i bought a new one (oem gasket) and i put it on. drove it around for a day or two and it was still doing it(not as bad though). i assumed i must of over tightened the gasket (because some of the gasket was pinching out).

so i then took it off and reinstalled it and i bolted it up, but this time i tightened it enough so the gasket can be flush with the oil pan. i didnt want it to pinch outside of the gasket.(i did it yesterday)

well today i check and it is doing the same. its not real bad... but i dont want to leave oil spots or anything like that, every where i go. :-/

oh yeah, and when i put on the gasket and when i bolted up the oil pan, i did tightened each bolt across from each other (criss cross) to make sure i got it even. the oil accumilation is not that bad, its just the thought of it.

taking it to the dealer to get it replaced is MY LAST OPTION.

any suggestions? am i doing something wrong? thanks.

where the honda bond at... you gotta make a samich with the honda bond..
1. put honda bond to the pan spread evenly
2.put the gasket on top of the honda bond..
3 with the gasket on top of the pan, put a thin layer of honda bond around the bottom of the block.
4 bolt up hand tight, or wirst tight.
