-if you hear clanging noise when you turn, i would expect the CV joint to be worned out. if you have an opening or crack on the CV boot, chances are that youll lose grease, and dirt come inside to ruin that joint.

-but if you also hear it when youre at a low speed, then forget this whole post, i cant help you.

The CV Joint would be more of a clicking noise, you usually hear it while turning kinda hard.

Where is the clanging noise coming from? the Engine bay? the suspension? left side of the car?

it could be ur throw out bearing

throw out bearing would make a whinning nosie like a high pitch noise.. i would say check mounts and cv joints. pretty much hard to say without looking at the car. :D

you could also have some worn bushings. jack your car up and the see it your tie rod bushing has play, also check to see if any of the bushing are worn: upper, lower, tie rod and if you have a sway bar check those too
