The Stang owner is a friend of mine from back in Miami, he spent $2,300. including the cost of the car. It's a new SRT4 with a BOV from a dead stop, being filmed from inside the stang. Here's a prime example of budget built stang :cool:

Car's never been to the track, but the best kill I've witnessed with that car was a C5 Vette with bolt ons. That was on motor, it'll soon be bottle fed;)

i would hope a modded 5.0 would beat a SRT-4. There is lots of power that you can get from a 5.0 with little money. And most likely a first year SRT-4. Even though arent they upping the hp for the newer ones? i think 240hp? instead of 225. But good kill anyways, beats my car :thumb:

it was a joke. I dont know what the car runs, as Boost Lee stated, i havent taken it to the track. My guess right now with the problems i have, mid-lower 13's on motor. Once i get some issues worked out, and put my good carb on, it might have a 12 second N/A pass in it. But who knows.

The SRT4 was brand new (kid said he has had it for like 2 weeks), so id imagine it was probably a new one (03-04). I didnt ask him what year it was, so i really cant say though.


And you're somewhat right that a modded 5.0 should beat a SRT4. Remember though, SRT4 is like 2800lbs, he was about 130-140 or so, so about 3000lbs (+/-). My car is around 3700lbs with me in it.. and doesnt make more then 300whp N/A. So the Power/Weight was probably not much of a difference.

Good kill... the kid just got the car...he must be a horrible driver. If that mustang is a 13 second ride.. that srt-4 should be closer.. but eh he sucks at driving. My old man has had his srt-4 for a whiles..and he is just now getting the hang of driving it..launching and etc..

I wouldnt say he was a bad driver. Still learning? Yes. But i watched him race another car, and he did just fine with the shifting from what i can see. From a roll, it probably would have been different, but my car sucks from any speed roll :(

100% stock shortblock 302, Victor Jr intake, Edelbrock 600cfm carb, Crane 2031 cam (.513/.529" lift, 214/220 @ .050, 112LSA), Stock headers from my 94 GT, MAC O/R H-pipe, MAC Catback, SVO Turbo 4cyl T5, 3.55 gears, Mild Suspension work, Mallory FPR, MSD Ignition, etc.

The problem right now is i have bad valveguide seals (they are teflon, and the day i put my heads on, the car over heated bad and i have a feeling then warped, so its burning ALOT of oil), the headers are restricting the exhaust flow, and my carb is restricting the motor. I have a better Holley 650DP to put on, but i still have the fuel system from when the car was a 4cyl (stock lines, stock intank pump) and it just doesnt flow enough for it. And my plugs have so much oil on them, i dont even wanna pull them out and see what the electrodes look like, if they even still have electrodes :roflmao:
