Dang my back and wrists are sore. Old bike was a comfy straight up standard and the SV's got me hunched over so that I can easily touch elbows to knees.

How do you guys ride for longer than 30 minutes? I took a couple of 30 minute rides last night, then rode to work just now and I'm a little sore. I figure I'm a little out of shape, so getting back in shape will help. I also read that it's better to allow your back to support your body up and not put weight on the bars?

Now I realize why people put tank protectors on, I'm very tempted to rest my chest on it but I don't want the jacket zippers to scratch the paint.

yeah, your lower back has much bigger muscles than your wrists, let it support your body weight. as for comfort....it doesn't really get too much better. i'm always sore after i ride. hell, there's even been a few rides where i've ridden for more than 2 hours, and wasn't able to get off the bike for about 5 minutes. i had to stretch out my body and uncramp stuff, but that was just after my wreck, it's not so bad now.

I love it. Aggressive posture 100% all the way works for me :) Usually after about 6 hours, I'll get tired.

You're a machine!

Only thing I could consider riding over 3 hrs would be a cruiser with a big ugly windscreen.

I just like going. I'll fall asleep on a cruiser. I've always wanted a sportbike and finally after getting one, its everything I thought it was going to be minus all the sex I was suppose to get from sexy sportbike models.

personally, I like the feel of the zx9r as a true sportbike. the VFR and the yzf600 are also really comfortable.

You can also get a corbin or sargeant seat that will improve the feel alot. There are gel pads and other products out there that are cheaper that will also improve the seat too.

For me, the R6. Thats why I bought it. If I were taller (Im 5'10") I would have bought the CBR. If I wanted to lay on the tank all day, I would have bought the gixxer.

yzf600r.......my vote for most poplular SP. It ,may be a lil on the hefty side, and may not beAS fast, but its damn comfortable......Bens bike with current setup is second to that lol.

I only get sick and tired of riding my 6 if I'm stuck in traffic or not riding agressively. I mean sportbikes in general just aren't comfortable but I'll ride all day and be ok with it.

keep a relaxed grip and posture. other than that just ride, ride, ride...you'll get used to it and learn ways to let different muscles relax from time to time while others carry a bit more load.

my bike only gets a hundred miles per tank so i have to get off and move around fairly often anyways. take breaks, slow the pace down if you ever get fatigued.

i'm talking about country/twisty riding here, if you meant city traffic then i don't think there is any way to do that comfortably on a modern sportbike, lol.
