How does one go about purchasing a bike across state lines regarding shipping a payment methods? How would I protect myself from getting scammed? Thanks.

I agree wholeheartedly. Unless the bike is new from a new bike dealer I would never chance such a large amount of money without seeing the bike in person. Plus having a mechanic check it out is not such a bad idea either!

I bought mine new out of state. I def would not send any money for a used bike w/o going to the bike first.

If your buying new, just talk to the dealer.

Dont forget to look under the plastics either, check for past body work or missing clips, screws, etc.

Welp,

I walked into Stubbs today hoping they'd have some red and black 02 F4i's when the guy informed me of a copper SV650. I've always liked them. May ride it home today.

The Darwin gene in me is supporting the SV650 decision as I've only been riding for about 9 months. Wish me luck on the deal.

SV650s are great bikes, I am trying to get my gf to think about getting one but she likes the plastic look. I saw they had a nice looking cbr1000f at stubbs....

As nice as it would be to have 2 identical bikes, I would rather buy a newer bike or a bigger bike the next time around. I dont think Gina wants it, that yr model is too wide for her. The VFR is also in Keller, North of Dallas near Denton.

If she said she wanted it I would not mind riding it back, but she told me she thinks the bike is too heavy for her.
