I never cared for bikes, at all. Figured them to be impracticle and dangerous. One night a mechanically dumbassed friend asked me to help install pipes on his Honda Shadow. Free beer, why not.

After we got everything tightened up we fired up the thing. I mean, it was just an old 600 twin, but it sounded so nice. So from that day on I got addicted to vtwins. I love that 5th gear, 30mph, twist the throttle, insta-torque. I love how my slow 800 vtwin (by motorcycle standards) is still faster than most cars on the street. I love how parking is never a problem. I love 40 mpg despite on 87 octane.

Hope to upgrade to a SV1000 before this riding season is over. Just can't decide between the naked or the sport. Kind of like the poor man's Duc Monster.

i don't really remember, i've just always been into bikes, and cars. don't really know how exactly i got into them...i'm sure my dad had a little to do with it, he's been riding for over 40 years now. but he's no where close to being into cars.

my neighbor had a honda 70 scooter then my dad got a little bike when i was 6 or 7. I learned to ride on it and I always wanted a bike after that.

All my friends have bikes. They taught me how to ride and I fell in love with them. :)

Had some extra money laying around one day and decided to buy one. Now I'm hooked.
