Guy riding on a nice bike. Not sure what it was, typical late model japper bike w/nice under fender pipes. Clean machine.
Dork riding it had no lid, a windbreaker, and gardening gloves.

The worst that I have seen is this brainless guy on this R1 on Jones Rd. during the summer pulls up to the light with nothing but flip flops on and soccer shorts. He revs his bike at mine like he wants to race....
I just looked at him like he was out of his mind and started laughing at him...
You live and learn.... Wait until he makes a trip to the ER and gets the wire brush treatment with no pain killers.... :ugh:

Its funny you mention that. There is a cross on the side of jones road right before Steepleway (?) going south bound by the bridge on your right. (This is before west rd.)
Some dude (An off duty cop) wearing the same attire you described lost control (Out of control wheelie) coming off the light north bound. (R1 = a lot of torque) He went over the center divider, and smashed head on into a van. He was not wearing helmet or any gear. He was killed on impact. I doubt gear would've saved him, but anyways, thats what happens to all the cool guys who buy R1's because they think "its faster". Its not fkn faster dumbasses, it just goes fast, faster. (AKA more torque.) If you cant handle it, (Like this guy) then DONT FKN BUY IT. And if you dont wear gear, esp on an R1, your a fkn dumbass.

Heh, rarely get waves although I always wave or nod.
Seems like Harley guys only wave at Harleys and crotch rocket guys only wave at crotch rocket guys. I mostly get waves from folks on metric cruisers.

Man I see squids all the damn time. Today while riding home from school I see some black dude on a Hayabusa with his fuckin helmet mounted on the side. I seem to always see black G'd out idiots not wearing helmets along with older white guys. Kinda hard to feel sorry for them.

No helmet = you die..... My brother wrecked his 99' GSXR 600 with no helmet on. He did not break a single bone in his body and had only some road rash but he died 3 days later when we pulled the plug because he had brain stem damage. All he did was hit the left side of his head on the concrete... I still want to get a bike however I will NEVER and i mean NEVER EVER ride a motorcycle withought a riding jacket, Badass helemet, Jeans, and race gloves.

I wear a helmet anytime I will be out of my neighborhood....My father was killed on his bike....and him wearing a helmet would NOT have saved him....
Kinda liek seatbelts...my mom had a serious accident(hit by a drunk driver) she had her seat belt on, and guess what, it killed her(clinicaly she was dead for 2 minutes) it did more damage to her internal organs than anythig else.
I ride with a helmet because its smart and makes me feel a lil safer....

not saying that it WILL always save your life but like you said it's just like a seatbelt. It's made to save your life. You could be going 15 mph in your hood and still die from a fall off your bike.

Yeehaw, and the first Harley vs Crotch rocket thread has ensued. :-)
For the record I like both, but have found the "typical" Harley and Crotch rocket rider to be annoying.
Fat/hairy ignorant redneck vs. young stupid squid. :D

even though i have a kawasaki .man i'd love to get a harley bad.my dad had one when i was growing up and they were bad ass..most people that have them just cruise around because they are some comfortable bikes to ride.its wierd that the faster bikes are cheaper than the ones that are slower and bigger .but then again so a caddy,....

i would never pay anywhere near what they ask for harleys. the build quality, and value just isn't there. all you're doing is paying for the name...so you can be like every other yuppie with a free sunday morning, no thanks.
