View Full Version : Wow met some cool dudes today

So me + my friend joined a group of about 6-7 other sportbike riders today on richmond ave. Everything is cool, blah blah mild stunting, a few small wheelies by some of the people in the group including me :), nothing big, nothing too crazy. Then we hit 610. We go north bound on 610, mild stunting, some more crazy stuff others me + my friend chill and watch the others as we cruise along.
Then we hit I-10 east bound. 130mph through traffic and swerving in and out b/w cars like they are road cones. I managed to keep up for about 2 miles then called it off. Fkn morons man. I hope no one on here was doing that shit. That was fkn ridiculous. Thats exactly why cops and other people hate sportbikes and why ins on them is so high.
Im not anti-hauling ass, but I like to haul in the right places. I-10 is not the right place. Esp coming less then 1ft away from car bumpers when passing. It was like the scene in the Matrix. Except if one car decided to move over w/o checking their mirrors, someone would have been killed. If anyone rides like that, pls let me know so I know to never ride with your ass. You can go kill yourself by yourself.

:-/ It's sad to see that alot of people with a death wish tend to get sport bikes and tarnish our reputation as people with brains enough not to ride like an idiot.....
I'll stick to the back roads with alot less traffic to haul ass..... As you said noquicky there is a time and place for it
Ride Safe and keep the shiney side up! :thumb:

Ride Safe or Don't Ride at all. Hittin the back of a car at 130mph aint a great way to die. Might as well go sky diving without a chute.
haha tight. I used to love riding with my friends and splitting cars. blah blah blah it's dangerous but who gives a fuck. Some like it, some don't. I prefer splittin' cars and going 175+....:thumb:

yeah, i used to ride with a bunch of dumbasses like that. they're all dead, paralyzed, too scared to ride, or in jail.
i only haul ass on the backroads. baytown has some pretty decent twisties, and the troopers out there don't really fuck with you too much.

yeah, and if you ever ride by me doing 175, expect to get smacked by my door, but don't get sand in your coot, it's just my preference.

Hate to break it to you, but if someone is riding up on you doin 175, you won't see them in time to open your door. They're gonna fly past you...but you obviously wouldn't know about that. :)

trust me, i can ride to a bikes full potential and more. it's not like i raced AMA 600 Supersport or anything. trust me man, i can ride better than you probably will ever be able too. i had full sponsors for supersport at the age of 16, and at the age of 5 for motox. but this isn't a dick measuring contest. what some of these guy's do on sportbikes is ridiculous. there is a time and place for everything, riding to the bike's full potential should ONLY be done on a track.
btw, if you think you can out ride me, feel free to join me at TWS for a track day.

There is no one on this board who can ride a sportbike of 600cc's or higher to it's full potential...
Even AMA racers will tell you they can't push'em to the limit...
No one is saying they are perfect.... but if you have such a speed fetish go to one of the Texas World Speedway track days and do it there.... :D
Anyways no hard feelings.... :thumb:

wrd. give a kid a bike and his IQ gets cut in half, along with his brain.
the main reason i feel so strongly on people riding stupid is because i've lost a LOT of good friends to stupid ass accidents. i had to see one of my closest riding buddies bet buried inbetween the rear tires of a semi truck after shooting down the feeder of 45N at 120. they had to bury most of him with the bike. worst thing i've ever seen.

Yeah, your right.......some like it, others dont. I personally dont like doing it not because of impact, but because of falling and having a car behind me run me over. I cant argue with you I know for sure and i wont argue with anyone else who thinks its cool. I just choose not to ride with that group and maybe live a little longer.

Agree. I've done a lot of stupid shit on my bike and even have some stories I wont tell via internet. Splitting cause of non-illegal reasons is retarded.

So did you meet them on the road and just ended up riding with them or you met them and then when riding? I'm a little confused but sounds like you had fun.
Damn Secret you have such a way with words. You can use sarcasm to ruin just about any thread. I mean seriously, just lighten up man.

Hey question for ya (and i am in no way talking trash or being a smart ass) What is your idea of someone who can ride a bike "badass" someone who can rock the throttle and do a wheelie? fast lap times? shit even fast quarter mile times? There are a thousand different ways/styles of people that ride bikes. I personally would rather ride on a track or backroad (149 rocks) but occasionally I also will ride a little to fast intown. Just make sure that risks you take will only kill ya and not anyone else

Yes I did, very unfortunate, she was a sweetheart to me. :( I have known Tony since 1996 for the longest time he was like a brother to me, I hate that he had to experince that...and I hate that Hearther Lee felt like that was her only answer to life.
