You will need to get training wheels :roflmao: :p

Nah, you can lower the bike. Just ask the dealer or find a shop to lower it a little. You;ll have to pay, but if you like the bike, its worth it. You can also get a special seat, but with CBR's, you already dont have anything to work with. (Seats are fkn hard.)

There are adjustible lowering links aka Bones for the rear and the Front can be easily lowered without purchasing anything. Most bikes can be lowered from 1'' to 3''. Lowering links are about 70 to 100 bucks.

I had a bike and was tiptoed on it. Riding it was fine it was just hard when I had to stop and balance on my toes. You can always get it lowered, but I wouldn't. It won't handle as well.

Would it hurt handling to the point where it'd be bad for a daily driver?
Chances are I won't be taking it to the track, but I don't even have a bike yet soooo....I dunno. :D

No...If it's just a daily driver and u wanna lower it, thats alright. People lower it for 'drag' purposes...so if you don't plan on taking it to the track ever, you could lower it and I think it'd be ok for daily driving.

Dragging seems to be the only thing in my mind right now.....but I hear all the real fun on bikes is tracking it.

i remember when nicky hayden's little brother did his first ama race, he had to tiptoe off the start. it was pretty funny.

i had to do the same thing when i raced....i was only 5'6" at the time.

Does the cbr600rr offer this??

as far as i know...no. the 600rr and the soon to be released 1000rr have very inconventional rear suspension designs, so a traditional dog bone won't work. i think there are a few companies working on it tho. but i could be wrong, they may already be out, i don't really keep track of lowering too much, so it's very possible i'm wrong.

check out www.600rr.net for a more accurate answer.

Curious, seeing as how yall actually know stuff about bikes...how does the cbr600rr compare to all the new 600cc bikes? positives/negatives

personally, i think it's the best 600 ever made. the thing handles like a fkn dream. great power, very rideable, soo much fun, even for just being a 600. lots of potential with it, a AMA 600 SP title to boot, and designed after one of the greatest race bikes there ever was....the RC211V, the DOMINANT force of MotoGP.

I've ridden the 600RR and the R6 and my Gixxer6. Haven't ridden the 636 or the new GSXR600. But on the one that I have ridden I like the 600RR the best just can't afford a new one yet... :roflmao:

The best thing to do is sit on all the new ones and see which on you like because you have to make the payments on it :D

I still love my GSXR600 :D

Well, if you had to choose between a '95 ES300 w/cbr600rr or a '97 C5, which would you choose? :D

car and bike hands down.

i came really close to buying an 04 STi, but after riding my buddy's 600RR again, i fell back in love with bikes, and will now be keeping my POS 91 civic for another couple years so i can get the new 1000rr.

Yeah dude you can get a bike even if you're too short. I've seen girls shorter than you riding so I'm sure you can handle it. If all else fails you can lower the bike (I'm sure a kit is available for the RR, if not soon). Keep in mind it messed up the geometry a little but unless you're trying to be Hayden you should be alright.

Daniel :)

Yup...sometimes I wish I didn't stumble upon riding. Otherwise I'd have more guns or a nicer car.

Nothing quite like riding though.

im 5'9 and i can touch both feet on the ground completely sumtimes my knees bend a lil...i was on a 03 R1 and i can plant both feet on the ground firmly...and a cbr 600rr also along with a R6 and a gixxer 600...iono mayb i have longer legs than u lol err sumtimes im 5'10 with shoes so iono...plus if ur feet can barley touch that doesnt mean u cant ride...just use ur strong leg as a kick stand when ur at a light...the bike's weight doesnt play a factor in this because its almost still vertical so u dont have to bear the full weight of the bike...i know a guy thats 5'4 and he rides fine on a 2001 cbr F4i...

I have a 04 R6 but have riddin a 02 R6 lowered 2inches also and It didn't ride bad at all. Needed a lil more lean in turns but it handled better than i thought. When you lower a bike you also have to consider the damping settings on the front and rear suspension, unlike when you lower a car. When you modify hieght in any way in a motorcycle you have to make sure the suspension is able to handle the adjustment. Ohlins is the best Adjustable suspension to have if you plan on lowering your motorcycle and have it still ride good and handle excellent.
