if the price is right that woudl be a good bike. 300miles is really low. I bought a 00 Gixxr with 1600 miles on it not to long ago.

Sounds like a decent deal. Only 300 miles?! That's just ridiculous. What did they do? Buy it and let it sit there? Sounds a little odd to me but if it's legit then go for it. Don't forget you need gear.

Its a beast, but then again, so am I.

My friend from BavSpeed just bought a Yamaha(hahaha) V-Star, and I dwarf the thing.

Something wrong with Yamaha? I own a Honda car and dealt with a Honda bike (F3) but I'd have to say my Yamaha has been just as good to me as the Honda (although the F3 now has over 17k miles with no problems).

noquicky has or had an R6 so you might ask him about it. I think its a good deal if the bike is in good shape, no slow dumps or garage falls. I have seen alot of times when someones buys a bike like that and then realizes its too much bike and sells it quickly.

300 miles sounds REALLY odd. So the bike has sat around for 4 years? Make sure that you get it in writing that the miles are correct, that the bike has never been wrecked, and that there are no current problems with the bike. Bring someone who knows a lot about bikes to check it out so they can see if there is any abnormal wear that 300 miles wouldnt produce.

If its all good, change the oil when you get it, break it in, and enjoy.

PS:

IF they were afraid to ride it and let it sit around, I say offer $4-5k even. Cause with taxes n shit, @ $5.4K, your paying nearly $6K. I bought a brand new 02 R6 for $6.7K
