i love how they showed off how the cars are chip tuned. i was like way that civic and accord are gonna beat a s2000 with those red-lines. but that civic took off and blew past the red line. I was like COOL!!!

hmm B16 head and B20c block... so i'm guessing B20Vtec/CRVtec but that's just a guess.

That EK9 was wonderful. A prime example of why I love hatches. Given the general predictability of fwd, it was probably on par if not better than the S2000 as a driver's car...at least for beginners. Then again, Tsuchiya knew how to get the most out of it, as well.
I really didn't expect the Accord to have a chance; It was probably the heaviest car, with the heaviest motor. Still cool, though. If the H22 was reduced to 2L, was there an advantage to using it over a B-series? I know the H20 was still heavier than the B-series, so did it have an output advantage to make up for it? I can't help but wonder which car had the advantage in power/torque.

That was the Euro R (220hp version). The Euro R motor is what all the H22 guys want as a base to start from. It has the type S head. Gear ratio's similar to the ITR, and has an LSD. It has a lower final drive than the normal prelude tranny, runs 11:1 compression, and has the single runner intake mani. Its just in a pig of a car.
BTW. There is no H20. There was only the F20b. Basically just an h22 with a smaller bore/stroke & still DOHC.

Okay, so the Euro R was still using an H22? With the stock 2.2L displacement? I couldn't understand what they were saying, and thought they said it had been reduced down to 2L even. At least it would have made sense, since it was a '2L VTEC Shootout.' :hs:
