ya'll are going to hate me for this..... but that wasn't with the LT1 engine.
Like i said, my girlfriend lives next to him.. one day I see the 240 in the drive way, and im thinkin "oooo he got it back, lets see if its REALLY got that 350 in it or if this is all B/S" so i knock on the door and ask him to show it to me. He pops the hood, and there it is. Somehow he managed to wedge a chevy 350 in that car. Lots of custom work. I was in disbelief, so I said "take me around the block" wanting to see if the damn thing ran. Sure enough it did run. No power steering, no A/C, no creature comforts, and he spilled some oil on the header, and that damn near choked me inside the car (some kind of ventilation problem). Point being... it aint pretty and it isn't a clean installation, but he does have a 350 in there nonetheless.

Back to the whole point of this post.. the engine in there is LOUD AS FUCK because he doesn't have much room for anything resembling a decent exhaust system, and thats how I know that video is before the 350 swap.

I wonder how he plans to pass emissions though... no cats.. nothing resembling emission controls... I hope he knows somebody for his sake.

oh but i beg to differ. many of the members actually made it to the meet to see this LT1 powered car... and yes the race was with the LT1.

That car isnt finished. It definitely needed some tuning when I saw it( it died after 15 secs of idling) and hes still running around on the import pizza cutters. His car is a 3 speed automatic which means its quick out of the hole but runs out of gear up top. I think with some tuning and some tires hed easily win from a dead stop.

I WAS THE ONE WHO SHOT THAT VIDEO! :hit:

I was riding with Chris Presnall (Aries), the owner of that car and yes.. it is the 240sx with the LT1 in it.

That engine is NOT loud.. you may have heard it from before he got exhaust put on. It actually sounds pretty weak, but listen again.. do you think that sounds like a friggin 4-banger? Open up your ears buddy. :rolleye:

His 240 is ok... but like most people are saying, including myself, it NEEDS some MAJOR work to run how it should. When I rode in it, it kept dying at idle and all sort of other little things. I hope his tuning last weekend helped. We need to see an official track slip time without that waterbox at the end of the track so we can know how it'd doing.

yes my car is turbo and yes his car has an lt1 and my car is even busted lol and not running to full potenial . from a stop he would have got me out of the hole but i would have ran him down i think who knows we can do it again whenever my car is fixed :D
