Guys,

whats a good set of brake pads for an EK Si?

Something that doesnt take a long time to warm up and bite, but something thats strong enough for a good NA engine on a street car... what do you guys recommend?

^^^sure they are acceptable for the average person, BUT if you are gonna run kinda hard everyday then you need somethin more.

as for ENDLESS, deffinately to race spec. really cool to be able to say you have endless brakes but you will roll threw the first stop sign you come to in the mornings and dont even think about driving in temps below 40 degrees cuz unless you live on a race track they wont get hot enough to stop right.

^^^seriously he doesnt need a track set up read the post.
i do however absolutely agree that you need some slotted rotors (absolutely no cross drilling please unless you like cracked rotors.)

EBC slotted rotors only. they dont crack, like ever, had mine for 3 years of autox and never once warped them or anything.

idk what the exact model name is but they are black with slots.

1.they crack under stress.

2.don't stop well because there is less meat on rotor.

3.i think they eat the shit out of your pads.

4.when gas build up between the hole it will push back the pads meaning brake fade or something like that.

ice man should know more about this.

^^^more or less correct. any rotor you use that isnt a blank will eat your pad a bit faster than a blank does. but a drilled rotor eats them faster in my experience than slots. those rotors you linked to are the ones im talkin about i used'em on my lude and my rsx and love the bite and wear characteristics. also the best freak set i have found for auto x since they do not increase rotating mass (no power consumption increase like "big breaks") and they stop like 15 times better than stock with little or no brake fade even in july on asphalt.

awesomeness dude! should work great if im running the EBC rotors and pads...think i will invest in these...

btw, they say its about 10.1" in DIA. any idea what size the standard rotor on the SI is?

yeah thats what i run for street/auto x. the 10.1 should be the right diam for 99-00 si cuz thats what i bought for my EM1 and they fit right up.
