my setup

- 1 optima red top battery
- 4 guage fuse holder with 80A fuse
- 4 guage wire ground and power
- RF dist block with 80A and 70A fuse 80A for memphis 1000D and
70A for pheonix gold 180.2 and mtx crossover
- MTX RTX01A 2 channel crossover
- pioneer DEH-6400
2 6.5" coaxils
- pheonix gold qx180.2
2 linear 6x9's
- memphis PR1KD 1000 watt D class 1 ohm stable monoblock
2 alpine type R 1241D dual 4 ohm subs running
in 1 ohm mono
- baller box with no air leaks (alot of silicone)

and this is my new problem

my problem is that not that the amp pushing the subs, or the subs taking the power (i have gain on 60-65%) but that the amp cuts out (goes on "over current" protection) when i turn the music up too high, hit the ATT button, or ........ im running a stock alternator,1 optima red top battery, 4 guage wire for +/- on the memphis amp, the fuses in the system are both 80A

i was thnking

- 4 guage +/- on the battery terminals under the hood
- 1 farad digital memphis capacitor

double check your ground...grab the wire and yank really hard..if it doesn't move and it is touch'n bare metal...then that woundn't be the problem...

check the impedence of your woofers, one might be blown... check for current too, if you're getting insignificant current draw, it could shut your amp down.

gain is set at 60 percent

yes its leo's old box and anthony's and jimmy's and benny's and darshan's

i checked out the impedance all the coils read about 3.8 ohms

no i dont play it loud at a stop light this occurs when im driving and when im not, and yes i YANKED on the ground wire, the ground is a 4 guage ground anchored to the bottom of my trunk with a pretty big screw, all the paint and primer is off of the metal

Well damn, what have you done now :P
Maybe your remote lead to that amp has a bad crimp or something? Yank that too, not as hard of course..

Umm... lol make sure your RCA's aren't crushed somewhere and maybe periodically touching the car, or something..

Other than that, try running stuff off just the head unit for a day, if it doesn't do that, then its after the head unit, then maybe replace some wires one at a time, if that doesn't fix it, then it's not the HU or wiring, so probly the amp itself..
