ok. i have 2 JL 10"w-3v-2s but it seems like i'll need a lot of stuff to keep that power running through (gel cell battery, alternator rewind, capacitors) so i was thinking, would my car still be respectable if it had only one of those JL's on a good amp? just wondering. plus i think 2 would be better if i ever decided to get pop-trunk.

You won't need near all of that for the power those require, aren't they something like 300W rms each? Even on 1000W, an alternator rewind, if it can be done to your stock alt., will be probably more than enough. Capacitors are like black magic, if you've got enough faith in them, you'll hear a difference..
Alternator and upgrading the underhood wires (alt-battery, battery-ground, etc) to bigger, will make a big world of difference and should be more than enough for what you need.

you don't need any of that...2 sub with one big amp...you car can handle that...anywho...if you step up to 2 big amps...you will need a small gel cell for every 1000 watts...

i suggest a class D due to the low current that a class d pulls, even a bd amp wont be too bad. my 1000D only pulls 75 amps and it hits hard

i personally think any system is respectable as long as you don't think too highly of them (ie. your's is better than anyone elses). being a SQ guy, a single sub setup is sufficient enough for me:)

i use my 2 10" pioneer TS-W354C as midbasses. with the low end of the 15", you gotta have some strong midbass:)

That's because I probably won't have time off from work before then. And well that it will probably take that long before it gets back to me. Hopefully though Goob he'll put in the HCC 5 cross card for me that you think I need for crossing over the front stage.
