No on has mention this on the news or in the forums.. Palmer has been shitty since last year's injury.. he averages less than 200 yards per game 21 TD and 15 turnovers.. not the Palmer of 3 years past

Ray Rice went for like 80 on the first play of the game, and it's been downhill since. Brady has a couple turnovers, and Bmore is just thrashing them.

good game, though. glad the pack lost, not just because they're division rivals, but they were a bigger threat based on the way they played down the stretch, imo.

The Cards shredded the Pack's 2ndary and they were what #2 against the pass? The Saints have a HORRIBLE 2ndary, Warner might light them up too. N.O better hope Boldin can't play this weekend.

01-11-2010, 12:45 PM
Matter fact either matchup would have presented difficulty to the Saints. GB and Aaron Rogers were no slouches themselves and were throwing on everybody this year. Hell I'd argue AZ has a much better 2ndary than NO does,

Minny should be able to beat Dallas especially at home. If Ap sniffs 100 yds Minny should win relatively easy imo. Favre played one of his best games of the yr at the end of the season so hopefully they carry some of that into the playoffs.

It's been a while, but my point was if he sniffs 100 aka gets close to it Dallas will have a hard time winning mainly because it will keep the defense honest and give Favre time to throw the ball.

the story of the identity of the vikings offense was the tale of two halves, as played out in the last bears game.

over the year, the offense has molded itself into something other than what brad childress had in mind. it became an issue between the the cardinals game, through the bears game. once that was settled, the vikes immediately scored 74 points in their last 5 quarters of football spanning from the second half of the bears game, til late in the 3rd quarter against the giants when they sat brett favre down:

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2009122800/2009/REG16/vikings@bears

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2010010307/2009/REG17/giants@vikings

thai will vouch for the fact that the bears were eating us alive with the blitz. the anchor of our line has been playing with an injured shoulder the entire season, rookie at right tackle, and a first year starter replacing 6 time pro bowler matt birk has sparked a few growing pains.

the bear were killing us in the first half, especially with a double a gap blitz. bad enough that chilly said adrian would carry 20-30 times a game. bad idea. chilly's answer was big personnel, power run, and it sucked. that's why brett waived off the big personnel when he had the nickel d on their heels for adrian's first td run, and didn't want them to be able to substitute.

made audibles were made in the second half of that game, and they've looked the way they had before the slide since. the kfan podcast will give you hours of supporting commentary.

i've been feeling pretty good ever since the bears game, despite the fact that they lost. oh, and ad was face masked on that fumble.

cowboys are on fire, though. should be exciting...

I just have faith in the Dallas D..they put pressure on Favre like they have been and we all know Brets gonna go gung ho and throw alot of up for grabs passes that i think we,Dallas, can take from them.

But same goes for Minny and their D-Line, especially Jared Allen..he rushes on Romo aka Favre Jr. and hes gonna throw some INT\'s too.

as stacked as both teams are, i agree that d line play will probably be the determining factor.

i don't see brett losing the cool he's shown all year. if they knock him around, i'd see him missing a lot of throws, but protecting the ball doesn't worry me too much.

I got a feelin Ravens red hot D will shut down Indy just like they did to the Pats. Indy has no rushing game so I don't see the game going the colts way at all if the Ravens can play like they did last week.

Plus Ed Reed is heartless and cold, he even killed Reggie Waynes pet snake http://masnsports.com/2010/01/ravens-safety-ed-reed-and.html

Your 2009 AP All Pro team
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on January 14, 2010 11:01 AM ET

Pro Bowl appearances are nice, but the All Pro team is where it's at.

The list only includes the best of the best. While there will always be fodder for argument, there seem to be fewer mistakes based on reputation. (In other words, this is a Faneca-free zone.)

This year's All Pro squad, determined by 50 writers and broadcasters, was announced Thursday, with Chris Johnson being the only player to make the first team unanimously. Patrick Willis was close behind with 49 of 50 votes, while Darrelle Revis, Charles Woodson, and Shane Lechler each received 48 votes.

So here they all are.

OFFENSE

Quarterback: Peyton Manning, Indianapolis.

Running Backs: Chris Johnson, Tennessee; Adrian Peterson, Minnesota.

Fullback: Leonard Weaver, Philadelphia.

Tight End: Dallas Clark, Indianapolis.

Wide Receivers: Andre Johnson, Houston; Wes Welker, New England.

Tackles: Ryan Clady, Denver; Joe Thomas, Cleveland.

Guards: Steve Hutchinson, Minnesota; Jahri Evans, New Orleans.

Center: Nick Mangold, New York Jets.

Placekicker: Nate Kaeding, San Diego.

Kick Returner: Joshua Cribbs, Cleveland.

Notes: It's Welker's first All Pro nod as a first-teamer. It's also surprising to see him make the first team over Larry Fitzgerald. Manning, Peterson, Johnson, and Hutchinson repeated as first-teamers. Clady may have been better as a rookie than this year, but there were no obvious picks at tackle.

DEFENSE

Ends: Jared Allen, Minnesota; Dwight Freeney, Indianapolis.

Tackles: Jay Ratliff, Dallas; Kevin Williams, Minnesota.

Outside Linebackers: Elvis Dumervil, Denver; DeMarcus Ware, Dallas.

Inside Linebacker: Patrick Willis, San Francisco; Ray Lewis, Baltimore.

Cornerbacks: Charles Woodson, Green Bay; Darrelle Revis, New York Jets.

Safeties: Darren Sharper, New Orleans; Adrian Wilson, Arizona.

Punter: Shane Lechler, Oakland.

Notes: The safeties benefited from injuries to Troy Polamalu; this was Wilson's first All Pro honor. This was Lewis' seventh nod. The Vikings led with four first-teamers; the Colts had three.

PeteSi

PeteSi
01-14-2010, 11:02 AM

i-vtec195

it's easy to overlook the significance of moving the chains. first downs extend drives, and make it a lot easier to execute.

i-vtec195
01-14-2010, 11:13 AM
here's the reserves:

SECOND TEAM

OFFENSE

Quarterback: Drew Brees, New Orleans.
Running Backs: Ray Rice, Baltimore; Steven Jackson, St. Louis.
Fullback: Le'Ron McClain, Baltimore.
Tight End: Antonio Gates, San Diego.
Wide Receivers: Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis; Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona.
Tackles: Michael Roos, Tennessee; Jake Long, Miami.
Guards: Logan Mankins, New England; Kris Dielman, San Diego.
Center: Andre Gurode, Dallas.
Placekicker: David Akers, Philadelphia.
Kick Returner: DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia.

Notes: Roos didn't make the Pro Bowl team, but deserved to make this list. Philip Rivers had a great MVP case, yet couldn't make All Pro second team in a stacked year. Vincent Jackson got snubbed too, but who would you take off the team?

DEFENSE

Ends: Trent Cole, Philadelphia; Julius Peppers, Carolina.
Tackles: Darnell Dockett, Arizona; Haloti Ngata, Baltimore.
Outside Linebackers: Brian Cushing, Houston; LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh.
Inside Linebackers: David Harris, New York Jets; Jon Beason, Carolina.
Cornerbacks: Nnamdi Asomugha, Oakland; Asante Samuel, Philadelphia, and Leon Hall, Cincinnati (tie).
Safeties: Brian Dawkins, Denver; Ed Reed, Baltimore, and Nick Collins, Green Bay (tie).
Punter: Andy Lee, San Francisco, and Donnie Jones, St. Louis (tie).

Notes: The Bengals secondary got represented here; Champ Bailey didn't. We think Robert Mathis was robbed at end. Put him ahead of either of the guys here. Cushing is the only rookie on either list. Beason and Harris both made the team, but not the Pro Bowl. Beason was a great choice despite his late injury.

It would be awesome to be in the super bowl next year being as it will be at the Dallas stadium. But its going to take ALOT of work.

We got smashed.. and maybe its what the team needed. A reality check. Now make the adjustments required to excel.

Football is also entertainment. The fans want to see scoring; not quarterbacks taking a knee or running out the clock. They get paid millions to play so the least they can do is play for the full time. If the other team doesn't like it; play harder.

My prediction its going to be VIKE vs Jets at SB...

But overall vikings are going to win it all!!!!

and brett is going to rub it in on the jets face and PACKERs...Cinderella story there...

he even turnt his hat sidewayz, lookin like a foo

What's surprising to me is that the whole thing about going to the Vikings was because of their running game, but AP hasn't done much of anything recently. Most of the productivity has come from Favre and the receivers.
