well, my lower back has been aching a little all day but until an hour ago i went to bend over and pick something over then it was game over:gonk:.

my back feels like i got a pulled muscle or something. I mean i have had lower back injury in the past but not in about 5-6 years at least until now. What are some of the ways you guys relieve back pain? im at work right now and there is nothing around that can help me but walking around which kind of eases the pain but only when i walk a little slow.

any ideas guys?:hsrun:

those ben gay strips that you can stick on work good when my lower back bothers me. guess it all really depends on what the problem is though.

i have terrible back pain. I'm 6'3" and not the skinniest guy, but I feel worthless cause I can't even lift up a stupid box without worry. I follow the bend your knees, lift with your back thing. but still...

go to a chiro.. I truly believe that getting preventive maintanence is what has helped me from getting injured.

but a chiro cant cure muscle pain. only bones right? he might need to hit a steamroom and massage.

They can help tremendously - alot of times what happens is pressure build up.. We workout so heavy and never stretch and we get pressure buildup in our elbows, our knees and all over and they help relieve this pressure.

The one I see does acupuncture too... I love it.

Check to see if you have a herniated disc. I was on disability for 7 weeks. I just woke up one day and felt pain. A lot of people have herniated discs but they don't know about it until they feel major pain. My pain went away but on Thanksgiving Day, I went to my mom's house and was playing basketball with some little kids and found out jumping is the worst thing in the world. Do keep your feet elevated and use a heating pad.

I've got a herniated disk for about a year, it killed me, couldn't play basketball and detailing was a painful job for me. Not to mention walking for long distances and shopping, it was painful. Went to the chiropractor for about 5 to 6 months. Lots of stretching (at least 3 times a day), back and ab excercises. No running, no basketball and nothing intense for a good 5 months. SWIM, SWIM SWIM. Use cold packs.

And now ALL GONE!

i actually have an extra vertabrae(like an L6), and the disc between 5-6, and 6-and coccyx are only %40 they size of a normal disc. soooo i go thru a pretty normal amount of pain.

forget some asian spa and go to a reputable CHIROPRACTOR. they're not glorified "back crackers"...and that is actually offensive. they are licensed Doctors.

They deal with everything muskuloskeletal AND alternative medicines

any they're the only ones that can stop my legs from hurting so bad i can't sleep.
