scary moment jetta race

ok so, im headin home from work (subway.....eat fresh(not really))...anyway......im going down a popular road that is 45 mph and im pacing along at 80, minding my own business when i pull next to a boneville gt i believe (surry, it was dark).....it had some umph, but i umphed just that much more....anywho.....im about to pass it when it seemingly drops a gear.....so i immitate a huge gear drop, but not really, you know just make the car bump and shoot back up.....but i was aiming to hide the whole turbo thing have as a slight advantage.......and so we pull up to a stop sign and he shoots off before me, so of course i easily catch up....and then we both turn onto another road...which is 35....and i catch up even more....and then the fun part.......we pull upto the stop sign, and bammmmm....there he goes......now at this point i was expecting him to turn over to me or say something or something, but since imm an idiot or something,,,,,he just goes........so, i havent the time to launch, so i do the best i can and uh oh...there is a merge about 70 yards or so after the intersection before a bridge....so i finally decide to gas it and wham...im flyin, or at least more than before....and i end up swerving around him right after the median that made the merge come true...and wow, now im in the other lane....so at this point ive got WAY more momentum.....and then im thinking....go on the opposite side of the road over the bridge and risk death, or dont and lose embarasingly...................................... ............so i go opposite side over the bridge. At the top of the bridge i finnaly get enough in front and cut his surry ass off, and O BOY, hear comes a minivan........at this point im thinking....i hope i dont die so i can see the look on his face.....so i give it a bit more pedal i kept in reserve and missed the good old soccer transpo by about 8 feetish......a little scary when your going over doble of the speed limit...so after that fun fun event ......scratch one on my side...the jetta's got a few marks.....good times.....good times......and no ones hurt.......and i believe the soil marks will wash off my pants......so deffinetaly a good one...........:thumb:

well your right.....but i hadnt had a good race in a while, and id just got off work.....but damn good thing i got that cold air system in....i think it helped save my surry ass just that much more

Im not gonna flame.....but i think you could have made better choices.....the beauty behind Fun Run.....is we are serious, not crazy...and although its public streets...we go to isolated spots to make it "some-what" controlled environment....and fortunately those that have attended arent foolish and careless and nothing of this nature has been an "incident".....

dont get me wrong....i love to race...dont LIKE to lose...but its not the end of the world...and the peddle in the middle of the 3...its called a brake...sometimes you run out of room and have to use it....be careful....i dont think you would appreciate your mom coming home in tears b/c someone was doing twice the legal speed limit on the WRONG side of the road barreling towards her when she lost control of the soccer van and killed yer lil sister...

i gotta say that everyone seems a little pissed at what to place, and now i understand...it really wasnt called for at all, its just...i dont know....it was a bad time for someone to try to fuccccc with me....i dont think ill ever do that again for sure....but i figured out how close the minivan was and nearly twenty+ feet from it and pretty much already in the opposite lane....but still a horrible choice....i need to work on shit like that.....i guess the whole way he seemed to act like he owned the world including my ass was what set me off...ive been know to do that from time to time...and i nearly fucccced a lot of things up.....an appology is in definate order and hope i can gain some respect back even though my immaturaty shines like a freakin lighthouse....i think it would benefit all if i was to just take this kind of aggresion onto the track and make some use of it....

very true very true...i just pisses me off like my dad gives me a whole speech on "racing is for the track not the road....ect." which i definetaly agree with....but the fact is is that he gives it to me almost every 4-5 days....so im like....send my ass to racing school then....(which he did send my brother a few years back)....and he is just like......."well i dont know about that".....agrivates me, a lot....
