Granola bars are usually high in sugar. For snacks you should stick with fruits, vegtables, fat free yogurt, cottage cheese, home made trail mix, mixed nuts, etc...

for snacks i usually like:

-1 rice cake with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter
-cottage cheese & fruit
-nonfat plain yogurt with a little bit of honey for taste
-2% plain greek yogurt
-plain kefir (it's a yogurt drink)
-1 serving of almonds or other nuts
-tuna fish

stay away from that packaged, processed crap

Kroger Carb Masters (?) Yogurt. Usually 5/$2.00 and it has 12g of protein and 80 calories. Nearly the same protein density of powders and it tastes pretty good.

I also eat organic Flax-seed rice cakes with peanut butter on them. They're about $3 a pack at HEB, but they actually come out cheaper per ounce than your typical Quaker rice cakes.

anything with "sugar" in the ingredient contains refined sugars.

generally, anything that has been processed and packaged has refined sugar

i burned myself out on tuna during a weight cut, but i still have a few cans at my desk for snacky times.

fresh cut carrots or celery work if you want something crunchy. fresh fruit is always good....

i soooo wish i could get cottage cheese out here.

Did you find any cool ways to spice up the tuna or did you just eat it plain out of a can?

citrus (lemon/lime) juice
black pepper
tabasco (i like the green jalapeno)
eat it with celery (negative calories)
warm it up and put it on cold lettuce, like a wrap.
if you're not on a carb restrictive diet, some wheat saltines are good.

either way, it gets old...
