hell yeah, this looks incredible. I actually should buy the disks on Blu Ray, I need to retire my set from about 4 or 5 years ago.

BTW Band Of Brothers will be showing on Spike in September.

How can you tell? It's a minute and a half preview for something that will probably be 7-10 hours in length... What justifies "good" to you?

I don't understand how anyone can say it's not gonna be as good as Band of Brothers. The fiercest fighting took place in the Pacific, which would make for a much more brutal and intense story imo. The European theater was no joke, but compared to fighting Japan I don't think it comes close.

I hope Hanks and Spielberg go into details from both American and Japanese perspectives. Can't wait to see it.

you don't understand that people can have their own different opinions about a movie? i still don't think it'll be as good as band of brothers. i'll definitely be watching it and we'll see if it is or not. and i wont be biased to my previous comments

I recommend watching Band of Brothers and Generation Kill if you want some war time mini series, GK is recent so it takes place in Iraq but it is a really good mini series.

Seriously? Theres the war in Africa, Russia, Pacific, Europe...everywhere. The war completely saturated and infested the entire world.

I can't get into the characters, the story line is blah, I gave it 4 episodes, not interested in the rest.

yeah they wanted to focus more on character storylines

to me the series is alright, BoB was def better cause of more action

You really can't compare this to Band of Brothers. Band of Brothers was mainly focus on Easy Company and The Pacific is mainly focus on Basilone, Sledge, and Leckie. Each character has a different view of the war, which makes it different from Band of Brothers. So far the show is picking up on the action scene. BTW, I love the opening theme music of the show. I've already got Band of Brothers on blu-ray, and I'm planning on getting this on blu-ray also.
