View Full Version : just lowerd my car and it makes wierd wind noises

i just put lowering springs on front and back of my 93 civic hatch....and i know that the tires are not rubbing fenders.......but i can feel every rotation of the front wheels(brand new tires ive had like a month)...and its really loud when the tires spin(only front wheels...like a wind noise.....anyone know what that could be

did you line them up correctly when you put them back together?

yeah everything lined up correctly....could it be cuz i need an alignment?

are you sure? on the shocks they have a mark on the top and bottom and they should line up. what type of sound did you say they were making?

well it was doing it before i put the new shocks and springs on..but it got a little louder when i put this stufff on....it makes a loud noise time the wheels are moving..like a wind noise

no...lol...i know that description was faill...thats preety much it...o and my front tires are wearing horribly on the inside edge

I honestly know what you are talking about. My uncle's dropped integra does that too but his is loud mainly because of balding tires. Definitely get it aligned but Im pretty sure its not going to eliminate the noise.

What springs did you put in?

wheel bearings? did u put the front forks on right ?? check the breaks jack the car back up check every thing up front while the cars jacke up turb the wheels by hand and try to point out where the noise is coming from

when you change the ride height of your car, the alignment also changes

Sounds like your wheel bearings but not sure why it would happen immediately after installing the springs

fixed..problem solved guys....o took it to get an alignment....and they said that my wheel bearings were so loose......so after they tightened it and gave me an alignment....no noise...rides smooth now....

also they said that my control arm bushings were hella fcuked up...and i need new ones all around..are those important

if u do that's the cause of it.
