not familiar with the difference between this or 911/944 performance-wise, but I think the latter looks better.

Still though, that rear is definitely attractive.

07-16-2009, 11:36 PM
the 911 is rear engine, 944 is front engine but their base car and the 928 was very expensive and its front engine and v8

07-17-2009, 06:17 AM
needs a drop

07-17-2009, 06:25 AM
before any performance work gets done it needs some engine work and the body needs to be brought back to life

07-17-2009, 07:34 AM
FUnny I just saw one on weslayen (sp) yesterday during lunch and thought to myself if this car would make a good project car lol.

Cool car. Definitely restore it before modding. I'd be thrilled to own that restored, with a drop and some nice wheels.

Are they fast?

07-17-2009, 08:14 AM
I like the 3000GT behind it.

07-17-2009, 08:50 AM

Which was? I dont understand why people dont want to post the price sometimes. You already bought it, whats the big deal? I'm just curious what one of these can be found for.

I always liked that model. I see you got it at the Houston Public Auction. I bought a '93 BMW 325is there a couple years back.

07-17-2009, 01:42 PM

07-17-2009, 08:54 PM

07-18-2009, 07:37 AM
if you did get it at the auto auction, how does that work? I've always wanted to check on out but not sure how legit it is...

07-18-2009, 08:04 AM
congrats I always loved the 928s tear drop body. I almost bought one recently to do the LS1 swap. Have fun!

actually got it on ebay but the seller was the auction house. hey does anyone know a wrecker driver on here that will pick it up at houston auto auction and bring it to spring for less than $100?

07-21-2009, 08:30 AM
Uhaul trailer?

07-21-2009, 12:07 PM
LOL good luck with that beast, that car is a certified pain in the ass to work on. The motor/trannie/rearend are damn near one complete item.

I would've got a 911 but everybody has a 911, its nice to have the first ever Porsche v8

07-27-2009, 10:32 AM
something has come up and if anyone wants to buy it, its theres 1700 takes the car, but you will not be buying it from me you will be buying it from houston auto auction

07-27-2009, 10:45 AM
why is it not driveable?

07-27-2009, 10:58 AM
its driveable as soon as you remove the bad fuel and put in a new filter, the car sat for 2 years.

07-27-2009, 12:32 PM
man i want this, but could not have come at a worse time.

if there is anyway you can work a trade for a 2000 kawasaki zrx1100 please get in touch with me

07-27-2009, 02:18 PM
Those early German cars have so much soul and are a blast to drive. Until shit breaks. Like fucking the hottest chick in the world, only to have her kick you in the cock halfway through...

07-27-2009, 03:05 PM
i believe that's the generation porsche engineers were high when designing the car.

07-29-2009, 09:26 AM
Its a nice car. My uncle has a old 944 and its still a fun little car to drive. Not fast by todays standards but it is an awesome handling car.

07-29-2009, 10:12 AM
a 928 with a bolt on vortech and no intercooler is doing easy 400 hp....only thing was alot of them came in automajic

07-29-2009, 01:10 PM

07-29-2009, 01:36 PM
nice pick up

07-29-2009, 06:06 PM
Im couting the days until I get my hands on a 944...

07-30-2009, 10:45 AM
nice pick up

actually i decided not to pick it up for a couple of reasons, mainly salvage title and i talked with a couple of porsche people and the problem with the car might cost thousands to fix so i did not want to take the chance, good thing is i get all my deposit except for $75

07-30-2009, 12:33 PM
That model of Porsche is know for electrical problems. My dad sold P cars for 15 years and he refuses to buy a 928 or 928S of any sort because he saw them in the dealership so much.
