figured id post up my car on here since i finally got to make an account. this is a bit different than the usual posts on here haha. First of all this was not my car of choice but after reading up on the ecotec engine and finding that the aftermarket was pretty big for it i decided to take off the bodykit and wing and clean it up and focus more on performance than anything. while i know that its rough around the edges and its not something all of you all would like i appreciate the work ive done to it and think ive done a good job of staying out of the norm of the wild paintjobs and ugly bodykits. Oh and just so u know toyota did offer a RHD cavalier in japan it was made by chevy and just badged as a toyota the taillights are a "jdm" option and i will be getting rid of the cf lookalike tails an switching to those, and Bomex actually made exterior body parts for these cars, my bomex mirrors are 1 of about 8 sets in the United States i believe and my first bodykit was an authentic bomex kit also.

MY Mod List is as Follows:
Exterior:
Vis Carbon fiber hood and trunk(trunk is painted over after an accident)
Bomex mirrors
Ls sport lip kit with wings west rear lip
Interior:
Swoosh oil and boost pressure gauges
Innovate lc1 with moates o-meter
Custom gauge pod molded on bezel
Gone-momo millenia seats
Gone-bride seats dont remember which model exactly
nrg slim quick release hub
Cheap Ebay steering wheel(370 dollar momo cf wheel was stolen in sa)
rk sport cf door sills
Cf hvac over lay/gauge bezel/gauge dimmer switch/ and door accents
B&m Short shifter with cf boot
Suspension:
Koni yellow adjustable struts
Ground control coilovers
turbo tech racing k-brace
all poly bushing on front end and rear trailing arms
Power Slot drilled rotors
Hawk ceramic pads
Russell Ss breaklines
Addco front and rear sway Bars(not installed yet)
Motor:
Mitsu td04-18t or 19t? stock mitsu turbo ported and clipped utilized a bigger compressor and turbine wheel
cast iron manifold(stock manifold off saab 9-3 turbo)
2.25 inch charge pipes
28x12x4? front mount intercooler
Greddy type s blow off valve
Lsj injectors(off ss supercharged cobalt)
Hptuners tuning software
2.5 inch downipe to custom tubes inc 3 inch catback to hks hyper exhaust
level zero motorsports solid upper and lower motor mounts

how it started out

took off the wing
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa95/cavipower1/mysapce6yu.jpg

car started getting broken into alot in san antonio and i took off the kit so it went to this

Car is rough around the edges but it will be getting painted torch corvette red the hood will be recleared, and i will finally be putting on my set of ssr gt3's. As for as i know this is the only set of 3 piece gt3 ssr's in 5x100 lug pattern in the united states and finally like i said i know this isnt everyones cup of tea but i think it looks alright, thanks guys

Stop poring your money into that thing. I am not saying its horrible but your money is going to waste. Car looks like it needs someone that will spend real money on it and not get cheap paint jobs and ebay shit.

the car has potential but it needs to be fixed the right way first.

Only cheap part listed seems to be the steering wheel. Ignore the haters, what type of numbers are you putting out? Ecotec motors are ridiculous, where in SA do you stay?

first of all i said it was rough around the edges and im not putting any ebay parts on it i purchased the koni yellows through ebay but theyre still koni yellows, car has original factory paint and the back bumper isnt painted because i decided id rather drive around with an unpainted bumper instead of no bumper at all. any modding any car is wasting money because all we do is mod cars then they break then we fix em again. the only real thing we get back from modding our cars is enjoyment from driving them and the compliments we get. and i do get compliments from it since there isnt many turbo cavalier running around. i am sorry i dont i dont have tremendous amounts of money to do everything right in one big chunk and make the car to youre liking, plus if i had so much money i wouldnt be driving a cavalier now would i?lol i dont mind the comment though as everyone is entitled to thier own opinions. ryan thanks for the kind words its putting down 250hp and 278tq. my best et as of yet is a 13.19 at 109mph on bfg dragradials. i used to stay by medical in cinnamon creek and wolf run

thats next on the list this car has been through alot i dont know who would want to steal a cavalier but it went missing in san antonio for a bout a week an that is were most of the body damage is from, im taking this one step at a time since most of my time is devoted to school and my part time job since i am taking 16hours a semster of college and have other things on my plate as well. hopefully by the end of the summer i will be able to post again with a freshly painted new wheel car that is up to par with alot of the cars on here at least maintence and body wise since i know my car prolly cant keep up and out handle most of the cars on here

it looks like you really got a plan and some knowledge based on your parts list...

though execution wise..IDK what to say.. car looks good, don't get me wrong, and ECOTEK's are proven powerhouses.. its just the styling of the cavalier.

IMO its just not a good looking car..but props for stickin to it an making your own.
Take what you've learned into your next project and I think it'll turn out even better

Thanks guys it really means a lot coming from all the guys I've seen on here especially there is a lot of cars posted on here, and about the guy with the focus its cool I'm the type that appreciates hard work regardless of the make and model of car, and I actually liked the before too its just it attracted a lot of attention that it didn't need. In about a six month period it was stolen an broken in to like six times since changing it up its gone unnoticed by most except for the ppl at the track or car meets. Ill make sure I get new pics and times up later on, I should be dippin into the 12's with more boost and a tune, tune kinda takes me a while to do since I do them myself car holds a steady 12.5afr across the power band wide open throttle, and I put a lot of time into sizing my turbo right so usually my full boost is at around 2300 or 2500 rpms

Being different it cool IMO. I drive this mirage and I'm the only one with it at car meets. Unlike everyone who mainly has hatches, coupes, tegs, etc.

its cool man i know its not everyones cup of tea. id love to have an evo and i absolutley love 240's and id put the s15 front on it but for right now im trying to make a cavalier that stays out of the norm of the riced out sterotype that everyone seems to have of them. on another note thanks for the comments guys keep em comin! lol

thanks! ill see how much progress i get done tomorow im rolling my rear quarter panels and adding 5mm spacers see how they wheels look with +35 offset in the rear fronts are fine for right now i think, also im welding up a magnaflow cat and resonator to replace my test pipe. car sounds awesome but gets alot of drone on the highway so itll have that on for daily driving and the test pipe for racing. also switching from two bolt flanges to v-bands instead, ive had em laying around for so long i figure its time to put them on haha

wow... hot import nights 1999?

your car is still ricey dude, sorry.

yea the stock lip kit and rims are real ricey same goes for my ground controls and koni yellows which other car enthusiasts love to use also,a couple of months ago i saw s14 with the same hood as mine on here and everyone liked it now cuz its on a cavalier its rice? same goes for all the other stuff that i have on there all rice lol, its a stock cavalier with rims and some rice taillights but its quick and thats all that matters to me. For the rest that gave me props and had something nice to say thanks yall, i really think that we should all see past whether its a cavalier or if its rice or in any car if its ugly or whatnot we all build our cars to our liking and thats all that matters. im the type of person that appreciates hard work even if its ugly, whether it be a ford fiesta or a gtr if ur a car enthusiast u can appreciate hard work done to the car, and i think ive done pretty good considering the circumstances haha, hopefully i can post pics up soon i think ill be doin the headlight swap and ordering the front lip so yall can be expecting some updates soon
