After ruining a $5k computer, today was my first time to OC since. Running a stock cooler this is what I was able to do on first attempt....

Prime95'd for 3hrs. Seems to be stable. Going to go for 3.6 after a few days of this.

Ya. I've seen these do 4k on air. I'll have to spring for a decent cooler as i'm sticking with air this time. Learned my lesson with phase change. Simple mistakes are costly :(

eek.. breaking a $5k computer. What went wrong with your phase change setup?

how did you mess up phase change? condensation? either way, good luck overclocking, depending on ram/mobo it should be rather straightforward.

condensation. The heat plate on the back of the mobo didn't properly seal. Water got on everything but the ram.
