The Goodwood Festival of Speed is also on the calendar
At last year's Paris Motor Show, Citroen stunned the audience with a dramatically styled supercar dubbed the GTbyCitroen. A few months later, the company revealed it would produce a limited run of the cars. And now Citroen has revealed the low-slung and futuristic vehicle will be tackling some of motorsports most prestigious events this summer.
Starting with the 24 Hours Nurburgring race on May 23, the GTbyCitroen will take a single 'lap of honor' around the circuit. It will also be on display at the Polyphony stand during the event, starting May 20.
Then in mid-June, the supercar will join a line of others at Le Mans for the 'Grande Parade des Pilotes', a presentation of the 150 drivers and 50 teams taking part in the actual competitive portion of the 24-hour event race weekend.
Finally, the new GTbyCitroen will hit up the Goodwood Festival of Speed July 3-5, where it will be shown alongside some of the industry's finest.
No further details on the progress toward a production model, or what stage of readiness the cars on the summer tour schedule will be in, but that the program is moving forward at all is a welcome sign in these often dreary times.
