The special edition will be available exclusively in a ‘Rally Yellow’ paint scheme

With the sequel to last year’s Transformers hit – Revenge of the Fallen - set to open across cinemas in the U.S. on June 24, Chevrolet is reportedly planning to start production of a new special edition Camaro based on the ‘Bumblebee’ version that very same day. Expected to be styled exactly like the Autobot car in the movie, the special edition Camaro will be available exclusively in a ‘Rally Yellow’ paint scheme and feature contrasting black racing stripes.

Both V6 and V8 models will be available, though only the LT and SS trims. This means that the optional RS package, which adds a number of features including 20in wheels and HID headlights, could also be offered.

No major mechanical modifications are planned as information sourced from the Camaro5 forums reveals that there will only be Transformers badging and symbols on the wheel centers, sill plates and around the dash.

While production of the Bumblebee Camaro isn’t scheduled to start until June 24, orders will be open from the first of that same month and continue through until December.

Its looks clean. Not too sure if I'd buy a "special edition" car based on a movie. Maybe if I were a hardcore transformer fan:dunno:. Looks good though.

If people buy the Bullet mustang, they'll definitely buy this.

The Bullit was a stripped GT. It was actually cheaper than a GT. I'd take a Bullit, and I think the movie heritage is lame.

Well more than just a paint job.
