Powered by a shrieking Hayabusa engine, the Scorpion Motorsports Prodigy is an elemental thrill ride in the same vein as the Ariel Atom. The Prodigy has but a single wheel out back, though up front, it's all about stability. Scorpion claims a reported 1.5g on the skidpad. While you can find vehicles on the used market, undoubtedly modified, that will click off 3.3-second runs to 60 mph, the $40,000 price tag of the Prodigy P6 seems like a pretty good deal for such a raw adrenaline-pumper.

That looks like it would be a lot cooler if it had 4 wheels...

The back wheel is not even that wide... It looks kinda "cheap" if you ask me. I bet its fun, but eh... for 40k I rather pick up an elise.

This thing easily outperforms an Elise, and for less money, if what the company says is true. I dig the mini-F1 styling and F1-style pushrod suspension, but this car just looks a little too hardcore for street use. Maybe if it were wider and had a detachable roof, I'd be a lot more into it.
