Payment and pricing info: The price for the lan is $10. Pre-payment can be done through credit by phone or in person. This place gets packed on Saturdays so pre-payment is a must. Price of admission includes Papa John's Pizza at midnight.

Information: The purpose of this lan is to unite Houston
Area gamers, and to promote The
Houston-Imports Counter-Strike Source
Clan. More information about the CS:S Clan
Will be given to those who are interested.

Element Gaming has their own computers with Steam Cafe accounts, these computers are all equipped with X1950XT's so they play CS:S flawlessly. As of the current time, bringing your own computer will have to be approved by me because space is VERY limited in this place. I think that 7 rigs would be the max for BYOC.

i took it down bc i decided that this year we are going to waive the fees and only hold events. we mostly play on other's servers, but if there's enough interest we can start up another one without a problem. the problem with our server is that no one played on there unless rob or me was there, so we'd sit around and play 1v1 for hours before anyone else came.

I never really got into CS because at that time I was still very active in the CPL playing quake 2 and quake 3. My friend Brad was all about it though. He would always be on the terrorist side lol.

This sounds like so much fun. I used to do this back in the day with friends with 1.5/1.6, but never moved onto Source. Is Source worth it? I miss going to LAN centers with a group of friends and tearing up the other kids in there.

at 19.99 for source, if you buy it and don't like it you can always give the account to a friend. i like both source and 1.6, but since i've been playing source 1.6 has been put to the side.

DUE TO THE CURRENT WEATHER SITUATION AND FLOODING THE LAN IS CANCELLED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR THREE WEEKS FROM NOW, MAY 9th IS THE NEW DATE.


we're sorry for the unfortunate circumstances that prevent us from making it out there, but for the safety of myself and my members i am cancelling the event. Gigabyte has been generous enough to give us plenty of promotional items to give out as well as a one of their class leading cooling solutions on their 9600GT. we will be giving these out at the May 9th LAN, i apologize for any problems that this will cause our members. thanks for understanding, An.

Mostly CSS, but people have been known to play WoW, 1.6, DoD, and whatnot. Last lan it was pretty much just 5 of us and we just bs'ed around mostly.

I've been calling Element Gaming all day and there's a sign posted on their front door saying that they have no internet. Thanks to Rob, Mike and I didn't drive 100 miles just to find this out. I'll call Element tomorrow and make sure that June 20th is a good date for them and discuss it among our members. Who knew that having a LAN could be so much trouble?

i hope you're not banking on Pi ram, that shit isn't wanting to work on my EP45-EXTREME that much. my 2gbpk's run my Q9400 at 3.72, the ram is clocked past stock clock to DDR2 932 from DDR2 800. which is total utter crap cause the Pi ram is supposed to do DDR2 1066 and won't run faster than DDR2 800 on this setup. I've got a lot of messing around to do, but i think 2gb kits are much better if you're gonna run xp anyways.

Actually I'm going with Win7 64bit, & dual boting XP64bit, I've been looking at going to 4gb for a while now, and stickyfingers has been running XP64bit for me and hasnt had any problems so far with it, So I might as well switch over anyways.
