I know there are a few of us keeping a close eye on GM right now.
If the government decides against a bailout how long do you think GM really has?
I am going to give them until May/June 2009...then it will be curtains.

i would really HATE for GM to go under and hope that it doesn't. I can honestly say that GM has somewhat grown on me over the last few years, especially with the production of the ZR-1, New Camaro, and the Caddy on crack (CTS-V)

But this isn't the ramblings section, you kinda need an article or something.

looks like the only thing that can currently slay the ZR1 is GM itself...
it would be a shame to see them go, though.

BLASPHEMY!!!
I am standing by my original thoughts though. The big 3 will "technically" die...and become a conglomerate in one way, shape, or form.

If GM goes under, you can mark the first day of our country's second depression.

2 to 3 million jobs lost. So if anyone has half a brain, they DO NOT want this to happen, no matter how much they hate GM.
It's been estimated that if General Motors fails, it will quickly cost the United States anywhere from 2.5-3 million jobs. Beyond the people directly employed by the automakers are direct suppliers and their sub-suppliers, many of which have been on the brink for years already. In addition, there are the tens of thousands of small and large businesses in Michigan communities and elsewhere whose existence depends on patronage from the people working in auto factories.
