make is a subjective term. they might GROSS 40-50k a year but they do not put $40k in your pocket a year. i think it would take an optimum location to even come close to that $40k gross figure also.

i have some friends who have these things and you would probably need about 10 or so to NET $40k -$50k a year here in Houston.

it is almost impossible to make $40,000 a year off one machine.

let's say that every dollar you make is pure profit, meaning you don't have any expenses (which everyone knows is impossible). you have to pay for the DVDs, pay the electricity, pay the person who's store you leave it in.

you have to rent 110 dvds a day to make $40k a year GROSS.

now if you have any business sense, you know that the lowest COGS you could even possibly be coming up with is 25%, more than likely 50-75%. based on those numbers, you would have to rent 220 or 440 DVDs a day to make that $40k a year.

pretty tough when the average machine holds no more than 200 movies.

or since i don't know what i'm talking about you could just post your financials and prove me wrong... i've sold multiple vending companies in the past.
