View Full Version : Some power trouble with my screen.
Every once in a while my screen wont turn on. There is a small LED on the unit that is on showing that it is getting power though. What I have done to fix this problem is to take the fuse out of the power line going to the unit and simply put it back in and the screen works again. Although this fixes it, it doesnt make any sense to me. Anyone know a permanent fix for it? thanks.

screen most likly is short'n out inside the board...pull'n the power is like reboot'n it...next time this happens play with your wire'n ...and for now...play with your wire'n ...move it around and see if you can get it to short again...if it does then there is your problem...
i would think that pulling out the fuse and putting it back in is just like restarting the car, but i guess not.... It was out this morning so i started playing with all the wiring and nothing happened. So i just took out the fuse and put it back in again and voila.. it worked. The contacts on both sides of the fuse look good, i just cant figure what the problem is. I will look into getting a new fuse if that will help but the fuse looks good, not burnt, loose or broken.

Make sure that you have a good ground..
is connected to the ground in one of my cigarette lighter's. Is that good enough?

re-ground everything in your system to one point on the body...less noise (if any) and you will know you have a good ground.
