my car had a swap when i bought it. its a single cam with vtec head. well had to change timing belt guy i took it to ended up breaking the crank pulley cuz he couldnt get the bolt off. ended up getting another d15b block had him swap it in. now check engine light is on its making a whistling noise. and it feels like either vtec is engaged all the time or its not engaged at all it sounds like it is. before the vtec was set at 5k and it has a blox cam so u could really feel it when it came on now it almost feels like it loses power at high rpm. any way if i get a chance to get there can u diagnose the problem or rewire the whole thing? how much wuold u charge approximately? i belive the previous motor was a jdm d15b now the one i got is usdm. i live out of town bout 2hrs away. do you even do this kind of work? or u know somewhere i might be able to get this problem fixed?
