there was a good single player campaign much better/longer then cod4 for sure ...but online play was top notch i could play it forever and not get bored but cod4 was meh for me

id say definilty sign up for gamebattles.

ive been playing since day one s1 also. and gamebattles has had more teams than all other socom leages combined. back in socom IIs prime around 05 there were about 20,000 registerd teams..it was insane.. i was in about 25 #1 clans and its extremely competitive i highly recomend getting on there

yes if you pre ordered the game before the initial release they gave you a scracth card at eb or gamestop you scratch it off and go to the website and enter all your information and then they sent out the code friday after noon in bundles soo the servers didnt get overloaded i got my download at noon exactly that day it took about an hour to download and a hlaf to download. from my knowledge it was a week earlier than evryone else you can buy th public beta for like 2.99 and from what i thought it was directly off the playstation 3 and it was a download right then and there soo depends on the case but the codes have already been issued. if you cant get your code pm me i have an extra code

We are happy to announce that the eagerly anticipated SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation Public Beta 1.30 Patch will be released on Thursday, September 18th, at 12:00 GMT/UTC (8am EDT, 5am PDT, 1pm BST, 9pm JST/KST).

The SOCOM: Confrontation 1.30 patch addresses the following issues:


* Abnormally long network synchronization issues when some users in a game have a poor network connection. This issue causes 4-7 minute (or longer) load times when late joining a game.
* Fixed an issue where respawn game late joiners were sometimes stuck in spectator mode and could not respawn into the game.
* Removed the latency detection network test which was causing some users with poor network connections to receive the network latency icon (red X).
* Fixed an issue where clients with different client versions (patches) could play together in a default medley game.
* Fixed an issue where if the session master leaves the game, late joiners could not "green up" and late join into the game.
* Fixed corrupt characters in the European and Japanese EULAs and Server News.
* Fixed many join game issues and made joining a game quicker. We are still optimizing this.
* Fixed an issue where if you add and then remove someone from your block list they were still unable to send you a message.
* Improved accuracy while moving (based on user feedback). Partial implementation. More improvements to come.
* Reduced the encumbrance penalty (based on user feedback).
* Changed the default round time for Medley games from 8 minutes to 6 minutes (based on user feedback).

We are still looking into the following issues and they will be addressed in a future patch:

* Some late joiners have really bad framerate (5fps) and crash if they exit the game from the start menu. This happens at approximately 1/50 frequency.
* Some late joiners will get stuck on the round complete screen. This is timing dependent.
* Some users will crash in-game. This happens at approximately 1/100 frequency (games).
* Some late joiners get stuck on the loading screen, loading into a game. This happens at approximately 1/100 frequency.
* Green or corrupted particles appear for RPG, C4 and AT4 explosions. This happens at approximately 1/4 frequency (users).
* Further tuning and tweaking based on user feedback.

Once the patch is released, we will continue to keep an eye out for any additional issues which may arise.

I heard the headset isgoing to be super compliant with the PS3, as far as having an icon or something when you hit the ps button showing connectivity.

new patch came out yesterday..played with it...it did some good..the speed is faster MORE like s2,s1 but still dosent have that feel at all...scopes are now accurate.and when you run and shoot its more accurate...still a lot of work to do...but some good updates..

The SOCOM Confrontation 1.50 patch addresses the following issues:


Fixed an issue where some players were invisible and invincible.
Fixed an issue where the scoreboard, round complete and game complete

screens where not displaying player names.

Fixed an issue where players would not see any indication that they were

receiving damage until they were killed.

Fixed numerous stability issues.

Fixed an issue where the latency detection was detecting abnormal

latency and freezing player input but the red X was not being displayed.

Further improved the latency detection.

Fixed numerous framerate hitches during gameplay.

Fixed an issue where the round does not end after the satchel is

detonated.

Fixed an issue where the satchel would teleport when being disarmed.

Fixed an issue where the game host could not kill VIPs.

Fixed many issues with Private Games and game invites.

Fixed an issue where the controller preset would change unintentionally.
Improvements in displaying stats in the leaderboards.

Fixed issues with sending and revoking clan invites.

Fixed many lag pedal exploits.

Enabled Motion Sensor Auto-Detect Horizon option by default. This

should help a lot of players who are having problems with the SixAxis

lean when not holding the controller perfectly straight. For players

looking for increased precision, this option should be turned off and

the sensitivity turned up.


The main purpose of this patch is to address a number of issues with the

game. We are still reading player feedback in the forums and will be

making future changes to the game based on that feedback.


Please note, the network latency detection was functioning in the last

patch but the red X icon was not displaying. This caused users to freeze

with no indication as to why they were freezing. We've fixed this issue

and the network latency icon is displaying once again. Please report in

the SOCOM Confrontation PlayStation.com forums if you are seeing the "red

X" disconnect icon under normal gameplay conditions.

I checked again earlier today still no message invite to the clan I think it is because of the server. I think another easier way to join is to apply to the clan by clicking on Patio's profile on your friend list through socom. That is what I did I hope it worked. :cross:
