Nissan’s updated 3.7L VQ-series engine has already found its way into the Infiniti G37 Coupe and will soon appear in the all-new Convertible, but Nissan has also added the silky smooth V6 to its 2009 Infiniti G37 Sedan in the North American market. The 3.7L DOHC V6 is rated at 328hp (245kW) and 270lb-ft (366Nm) of torque with a 7,500 rpm redline, giving it an edge over its predecessor, the 3.5L V6 found in the G35 models.

The new model also gets an optional seven-speed automatic transmission, and still comes standard with a close-ratio six-speed manual. Other features include a revamped brake system with optional four-piston front calipers and 14-inch rotors by Akebono, an electronically-controlled seven-speed auto transmission and optional split five-spoke 18in alloy wheels.

Exterior features include redesigned side mirrors and a new scratch resistant paint formulation. Inside, seat heaters get new switchgear. The remainder of the equipment stays essentially the same, with base, Journey AWD and Sport models available. Four-wheel active steering (4-WAS) is also an option on some models.

Three different trim levels are available starting with the base G37, and then followed by the G37 Journey and G37S Sport. An AWD version, in the form of the G37x, is also available. The new range goes on sale next month.

That car is going to be quick. My car, which is an 07 G35s 5spd auto will do a high 13 second 1/4 mile. With the new engine and quick 7 spd tranny we should see 13.5

I personally have never seen a g35 anything run a 13 stock. Mostly mid 14's with the auto. I'd imagine the current g37 coupe is probably a tad quicker. Regardless they are EXTREMELY nice vehicles, and very near the top on my next to buy list.

What idiots do at the track, and what cars are capable of are two different things. The new G's are way different animals.
