yeah, it just happened to be a judge's car... (registered in his girls name)
when he was walking through the crowd at the beginning of awards, I heard him say "Im gonna have to make some room in my car..." I just assumed he was planning on winning A trophy, not THE trophy! The way best of show goes with mean streets, you have to win 1st place in your class to be eligable. so the guy made up a class that only his car was registered in "cobalt class" and rigged the best of show for himself! the issue was cleared up, as I heard the guy was fired

I thought it was a really good show aside from that. got to see alot of old friends and make some new ones.

Always fun Gabe :) Yeah I talked to Victor for about 10 minutes about Pablo. Before he even talked to me I heard him telling another competitor that a judge had been terminated for making his own classes and screwing up everything. Victor did not even know about the best in show award yet.

i know he is my teammate and all, but what you're saying is a bit off.... i know for a fact that victor made the categories, i was standing there when he did it at the gate, and pablo was in sport domestic compact, in which there was a ford focus and 2 neons. he did not judge his own car, nor any of the ones in his class or any of our teammates so there wouldn't be a conflict of interests. To be honest none of us(on the team) want him judging our cars because he knows every flaw of each one. Which car should've got best in show? in my opinion it should've been the black VIP lexus outside, but it's not my choice, it's the judges. I remember at heatwave before i knew pablo and was still with ruthless image there was a galant very much like mine(at the time) who took first in class and i didn't even place. i got real mad and Ray said to me, "you can't win every show and it comes down to the judges taste every time". there was some wisdom in that statement. so when i take home second to a car i know i should beat i remember that sometimes judges see what we don't, after all they usually talk to the owner about what has been done. Hell I don't even know what pablo has done to his car and he's my teammate. For example at import faceoff baytown i didn't even place and i lost to an evo with a stock body and a ton of enginework. I may have a more complete package, but the judge who judged me apparently liked enginework more. I didn't complain, i respected the judges call and congratulated the winner when i saw him. You guys always bring a stellar package when you show, i always think you should win best subaru. you're cool people, i've never had a problem with you and actually look forward to seeing you and hanging out at shows. I guarantee you, I, pablo, greg and countless other all put the same amount of blood, sweat and tears into this passion of ours. I want a best in show as much as the next person, but i won't slam the person who does get best in show. In my opinion, everyone who really puts in the time honestly deserves a best in show at some point. Whatever happened in the judging room for best of show, Pablo had nothing to do with, he was actually breaking down his setup at the time. So what you're saying doesn't make sense, and i'll leave it at that. I hope this doesn't start any drama, that is not my intent here. Hope i see you guys at the next show, and this is all forgotten.

Victor called me yesterday and he is definitely taking what happened with the Cobalt seriously. He is looking into the scoring and has already for a small problem. I don't want to go into detail at this time but Victor is working on it.

Also from now on if you are judging you cannot have a vehicle in the show.

lol nope, he is from virginia he put the car together himself in the last year. everyone thinks it is the same car but that car went to someone else. everything on the car is junction produce. he has scara wheels as well, but they are locked up in storage and he hasnt opened that up since he moved.
