After GM released a number of images of an undisguised Chevrolet Camaro testing at Holden’s proving grounds in Australia, developers back in the U.S. seem unfazed about onlookers taking more photos of the upcoming car as it undergoes final testing. This latest mule was captured testing in the humid climates of Florida and reveals almost all of the exterior details bar some small camo gear covering the headlights.

The photos of the car were taken by a guy named Corey R and were originally posted here. The photographer claims the GM engineers allowed him to take as many snaps as he wanted as long as he didn’t take pics of the interior. Some of the finer details include a new rear diffuser, integrated fog lamps, 20in alloys, and a small air-intake just above the leading edge of the bonnet.

Expect to see a similar engine lineup as in the Pontiac G8, as the Camaro is based on the same platform as the Aussie built sedan. This means V8 models will get the same 360hp (270kW) 6.0L V8 engine. GM engineers are also tipped to be working on a new Gen IV V8 engine with direct-injection that could make its way into a high-performance version of the upcoming Camaro with output estimated to be more than 400hp (298kW). Base models, meanwhile, will get a 3.6L V6 mill.

i wouldnt really call those spy shots, the car isnt even covered up and it seems like the cameraman just walked up to it and took a few shots. I like the new camaros, they could use some minor fixing on the exterior but overall looks good

seeing as to how it's 99% still the concept pic, I don't see the big deal. Not to mention these pics look like they were taken on a camera phone.
Personally, I haven't been thrilled with the new camaro since I first saw it, and now that it's almost here, well, I'm still not. I will always jump right on to hump GM's leg, but I gotta admit I think this thing is going to have a HARD time competing with the new challenger which has more power and more classic looks.

all these new cars are big and ugly. those wheels look huge too. i hate how you have buy like 22" wheels on a sports car to have big wheels. gone are the days where 18" wheels are crazy on a sports car.
