Anyone have experiences getting a student loan from a bank? I only get a limited amount through stafford loans due to my family's income. Which bank has the best rates?

I got mine From Sallie mae but my rate was at 6% if I remember correctly

and the terms I think, I forgot How long I was going to pay for but its a long long time lol

Are private loans and Go up to 25k Max in my case.
To get one, you need to be enrolled in school,Have good credit

The Stafford loan I think goes straight to your school.

What is a reasonable amount to take out for a loan max for all four years? Right now I'm finishing my second year and i'm around 13k in student loans and dont want to take to much more

I decided to go back to school and so the payments were supposed to be able to stopped. I was told that they did. Next thing you know I get a call from them telling me I almost defaulted on the loan. I told them that nothing better have affected any of my credit. At first they didnt even believe me, then I faxed them my phone calling log to prove I called, went through some more b.s, then finally they just dropped it and blamed it on a mis-communication by myself (which is complete BS since I made damn sure that I asked very precise questions.
