ok im trying to expand my company 'Kingdom Flight' and one of the dumb things i didnt do back then when i made it was to register it.
so do i register it in my county or all of the US?
from what ive learned i want to go with sole proprietorship. if anyone suggests something better please lmk
heres the total screw up
i recently saw 'Kingdom Flight' was already copyrighted since 2002. its weird cuz back then i was searching if anyone had that name and didnt see anything, plus the copyright site search thing doesnt even work wtf!?
so can i still use my name or will i have to change it entirely different?
im in the process of doing all of this to hopefully get my biz license sometime after....someone help!

you could do your dba under a different name and possibly still use the name you want on your items..i guess it depends on how big it gets..but i'm not really sure about that.
i'd register as a LLC if i were doing a small business, but i guess that depends on how big you're going to get. if you are planning on staying small then sole proprietorship should work

LLCs can lose their tax advantage without the partnership structure. The possible label "disregarded entity" for income tax purposes singles out the one-member owner of an LLC as actually earning income and deductions directly. It is the owner, then, who reports as a business proprietor, rather than as an LLC operating an active trade or business. An LLC passively investing in real estate and owned by a single member would have its income and deductions reported directly on the owner's individual tax return on a Schedule E tax form. And an LLC owned by a corporation--in other words, an LLC with a single corporate member--would be treated as an incorporated branch and have its income and deductions reported on the corporate tax return, creating double taxation.

If not mistaken, if your name is a copyright already then you cannot use it. its like me trying to use Walmart....not going to happen. I'd get my ass sued so fast.
You want to become an S Coporation. It will best fit what you are wanting to do. No tax at the entity level. No double taxation. Little or no liability. Like a C corporation you need to have annual board meetings and such.
In all actuality LLC is also a viable option. Relatively few administrative requirements...i.e. no board member selections. No double taxation.
For the record...LLC is not double taxed. Thats only C Corp as C corp taxes the corporate level as well as the shareholders. Stay away from C Corp.
I would never recommend a sole proprietorship. You are personally held liable for everything.
