Ok if you ever see someone hacking in game or doing anything else worthy of a ban, please record a demo. Recording a demo is quite simple and can be done by following these few easy steps.
Step 1: Make sure you have your console enable. Hit the tilde(~) key and if the console pops up move on to step 2.
If it doesn't pop up you must hit Esc and go to options, click the keyboard tab, and hit advanced. Check the box that says Enable Developers Console. Hit ok and then hit ok again.
Step 2: Switch your camera over to the person you want to spectate. Now, open the console with the tilde(~) key and type the following: record xxx, with xxx being the name of the demo. In my example I would type record speedhacker. Hit enter.
When you feel you have gathered enough evidence on them, open up the console once more and type stop. Click enter.
Step 3: Open up the console once more, and type status.
Please note the persons steam id. The best way to do this is to highlight the entire line containing their name and hold down control and c at the same time. This will copy it. Now exit counterstrike, open notepad, and hold control and v to paste. Leave notepad open for now.
Step 4: Go to www.ripway.com. Click Sign Up and follow their steps. Once you have a ripqay account, log in and click my files. Now click Upload Files. Hit Browse.
Now we must locate the demo. It can be found in the fllowing directory:c:/Program Files/Valve/Steam/SteamApps/xxx/counter-strike source/cstrike, where xxx is either your steam id, steam user name, or your email.
The demo will be entitled what ever you wrote after record, in my case speedhacker. Select it and click open. Now click upload, click the click here to continue link and now you should see your file sitting there. Underneath its name it should say Direct Link Url and below that Alternate Line URL. Copy the entire url after Direct Link URL.
Now post the link and the steam ID of the person that you think is hacking. make a new thread about it in this forum and one of us will take care of it.
