if i'm a full time student, and i buy a laptop, would i be able to write any of this off on my taxes?

I doubt it, bc its just another tool like a pen or pencil. I could be wrong though.
On other hand, paying tution out of loans or pockets can be filed onto your tax paper work.

No you cannot.
You can only get a deduction for tuition expenses.
This does not include:
room and board
textbooks
any other school related items like computer, etc.

Your title and question are two different questions. Its clearly not tax exempt you pay sales taxes. Its also not tax creditable towards your filing, but you wont get audited for an amount totally a laptop so do what you want with the laptop costs.
