Shoot...now they lowered to 4.25%. When i had the time to set up one, I didn't. Now its 4.25%...darn it!

Nothing special about it. ETrade.com had them beat at 5.05%, but it is now at 4.40%.

Wamu has a savings for 6.50% but one year only; I'm taking advantage of it.

did the calculation...u get only about $2xx after 1 yr if you make the largest deposit (which is $500)...

mama has a cc with wamu. her IR is 24.24% she called all her cc companies and asked them to please lower her IR and they did. All except wamu.

Well you make $32.50 the first month. But if you make $500 deposit every month at the end of the year you will end up with $6742.

So you really make $742. Sounds good to me.

A few credit unions are offering Checking Accounts from 5-6% but you have to meet certain requirements and they will only pay it up to a balance of 25k after that is like 1%.

You misunderstood.

You are able to set your own amount to be transferred into the "savings" account for 1 year only. The minimum you can deposit is $25 and the maximum is $500 PER MONTH.


I may be off a couple of dollars. But you should make around that amount.

this is exactly how it works....it actually a good deal.....best rate out there right now.
